| Central Lake County residents are getting yet another promise of open space. The Land Preservation and Acquisition Committee of the Lake County Forest Preserve District agreed Thursday to purchase 80 acres of land north of Rollins Road at Drury Lane in Third Lake valued at $1.7 million. The full forest preserve board, which meets Feb. 8, must approve the purchase. If approved, this would mark the forest preserve district's third such acquisition over the past six months for a total of 233 acres.
