| An expanded Ronan Park, 2900 W. Lawrence, opened Thursday. Now 3.6 acres larger, the park replaces miles of chain-link fencing with a lighted, wood-chip path and features a landscaped plaza and new playlot. Ronan Park's $1 million facelift also makes it the gateway to the Riverwalk, a threemile pedestrian and bicycle trail along the west bank of the Chicago River. The trail links Ronan with River Park, North Park College, Von Steuben High School, Eugene Field Park, Gompers Park and the forest preserve at LaBagh Woods.
