| Trying to end three years of squabbling over a 200-foot stretch of the Fox River Trail, Kane County Forest Preserve leaders say they've made an offer to buy the acre the winding path sits on. "We've made a formal offer to acquire the entire parcel," said John Hoscheit, president of the forest preserve commission. "We haven't heard a response to it." Douglas Gill, the trustee to the estate that owns the St. Charles Township land, says he hasn't received any offer but is willing to consider one should it arrive. ... |
