| The Forest Preserve received an Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program Grant of $186,140 for a 0.75 mile trail that will connect the Joliet Junction Trail and the I & M Canal State Trail. Once the connection is made, trail users will be able to complete a 15-mile loop comprised of the Joliet Junction Trail, the I & M Canal State Trail, and the Rock Run Trail. The Joliet Junction Trail and Rock Run Trail both originate at Theodore Marsh, in Crest Hill. The grant is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation |
