Path would allow 40 miles of biking; connects west suburban trails to zoo

A 22-mile bikeway winding through the western suburbs from Wood Dale to Lyons and connecting to regional trails could form the heart of a trail system that would allow bicyclists to ride more than 40 miles and reach the Brookfield Zoo.

The $9 million Salt Creek Greenway Trail ultimately could form the heart of trail paths from Busse Woods in Elk Grove Village all the way to Lockport.
