| A 22-mile bikeway winding through the western suburbs from Wood Dale to Lyons and connecting to regional trails could form the heart of a trail system that would allow bicyclists to ride more than 40 miles and reach the Brookfield Zoo. The $9 million Salt Creek Greenway Trail ultimately could form the heart of trail paths from Busse Woods in Elk Grove Village all the way to Lockport. Bicycle advocates can't wait to have a route through the suburbs along the border between DuPage and Cook counties.
