| Construction on the 38-mile Salt Creek Regional Trail is underway from north of St. Charles Road in Elmhurst to Oak Brook. The trail, which will soon connect with forest preserves in Cook County, lies within the Salt Creek watershed, where the District owns 2,500 acres. More than 80 percent of the funding for the trail is from federal, state and local grants. |
