| Pertains to Roselle | |
| Roselle village trustees approved an amendment to the budget and accepted an engineering proposal for the Rodenburg Road bike trail connector project, which will join the northern portion of Roselle with a path in Schaumburg. "This is a project that is driven by the users of the bike path system, who have asked for other connections," public works director Rob Burns said. The connection would involve construction of a path approximately 1,400 feet long. Burns said the cost is estimated at $500,000. Burns said the proposal, by the Barrington-based firm of Wight Consulting, would be used to help the Village apply for state and federal grants for the trail connection. Burns said he expects work to start on the project in about a year if the grants are awarded. |
