| ON THE DRAWING BOARD Engineering design work is in progress for the proposed extension of the regional trail along the West Branch of the DuPage River between Ogden and Jefferson avenues in Naperville. A cooperative project between the City of Naperville, the Naperville Park District and the Forest Preserve District, this mile-long section will provide an off-street connection between the south end of the McDowell Grove Forest Preserve in Naperville and the north end of the Naperville Riverwalk with a planned trailhead at the south end of the Wil-O-Way Commons. The trail will be located on the west side of the river and will include underpasses beneath Ogden Avenue and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. |
